Missed me?

by naomimizon @ 07/12/2006 - 21:43:16

Not been here for ages! Sorry!

Nothing much to report. I guess I'm finding it tough these days now that Connor's running about so much ... he's a feisty wee soul (don't know where he gets that from) and Sam's just as hyper as ever! They're lovely, lovely boys but, yes, they certainly keep me on my toes.

Is it just me or is it very discouraging when people keep telling you how hard work it is having children? Or even worse, when people with older children happily tell you "It'll get worse you know"! Sometimes I don't feel a very Christian response when people say that to me!

Sam's still at playgroup but he's finishing at the end of the month and then in January he's off to nursery five afternoons a week ... he seems so young! He's still not potty trained but I'm sure that'll happen when he's good and ready! He's definitely ready for nursery - playgroup isn't stimulating him and I've had to admit (and found it very hard to admit) that he needs more than I can give him too ... he needs the structure of nursery school. At the moment it's an afternoon place but probably after the summer it'll become a morning place. My baby will be 3 in less than two weeks ... it's hard to believe that it's possible!

As for Connor - well, he's just grand. He's nearly 14 months now full of mischief. "No" means nothing to Connor, he just looks you right in the eye, grins and carries on ... cute but defiant! He's starting to get a few words now and melts my heart every time I give him a biscuit or something and he says "ank oo"!

The boys get on really well together although, as you'd expect, they fight too ... it's quite funny to see them wrestling though ... Connor may be wee but he puts up a good fight!

Kevin's doing fine. He bruised his ribs playing football a few weeks ago so was wandering about in agony for a while but he's much better now. His Dad and Step-Mum came home from Uganda ... they live just round the corner from us (when they're here) and it's lovely to have them home again.

As for me ... well, I'm still working as Justamizon (I've tweaked my website ... ... what do you think?) and I've managed to get myself a job working 12 hours a week ... Mondays & Wednesdays.

Well, I've rambled on - hope you'll forgive me for ducking out for so long ... I'm going to spend some time catching up on blogs now!

WB! I don't believe the whole getting worse thing - having kids is the best thing that could ever happen and every day brings new challenges and rewards.
I think your Sam must be the same age as Elsi - she's 3 on January 7th. It's a wonderful, exciting age and she is a bundle of laughs.

Do you at Justamizon get a lot of work?
I agree about the CV though - I get so many posted to me and they are all crap.
As soon as I see somehting done in Word it just puts me right off straight away!!

Thanks for the comment on my blog - keep up with yours. Good to have you back

Hi

Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas for 2006. It's been a while since we last visited, hope we can post a bit more regularly, although I doubt it.

Your boys are looking great, amazing what happens in such a short space of time

God Bless
